Policy & planning
We believe that your health & safety policy and plans should reflect your approach to business in general. If we work with you on a review of your health & safety policy and procedures we will seek to understand what makes your organisation successful and build that approach into your health & safety arrangements.
Our work with clients on health & safety policy and planning issues typically involves some (or all) of the following elements:
- A review of standards being achieved – usually in the form of an ‘inspection’ type visit or visits
- Liaison with senior management to help us understand your key concerns and objectives
- Discussions with employees about their perceptions of health & safety standards
- Helping you to understand what is good about your approach to health & safety, as well as what can be improved and how
- Considering the costs and benefits of alternative courses of action
- Devising an ‘action plan’ aimed at achieving your objectives
- Helping you to implement your action plan.
We would be pleased to meet you to discuss how we can help you achieve your objectives. Please either use the contact form or call Ian Glendenning to arrange a meeting.
Case Study:
British Industrial Flooring (BIF) Ltd
Pragma Consulting and our sister company VSL worked with BIF to establish practical health & safety systems that minimised paperwork and helped with tendering and contract pre-qualification. The system ensures that health and safety standards are project specific without
‘re-inventing the wheel’ for each project.
BIF are an expanding flooring contracting company with an ethos based on excellence. Simon Bellamy, MD of BIF wanted to reflect their ethos of excellence in their health & safety arrangements. He was dissatisfied with BIF’s existing consultants who had provided an ‘off the shelf’ approach but, he felt, failed to provide proactive understanding of their needs.
Pragma and VSL’s work has helped BIF’s reputation with their clients who have complimented them on their approach and standards.
We are always happy to discuss the costs and benefits of our work with new or existing clients. Please email or call us for a chat about how we may be able to help.
